After practicing for many years as a civil litigator and representing her clients at arbitrations, mediations, and trials, Stephanie took a case pro bono for the then-new Children’s Attorneys Project in 2001, where she found her passion in representing and advocating for young people. Shortly after, she started the Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Counsel for Children. Stephanie thereafter joined the Clark County, and later the Washoe County, District Attorneys offices as a child welfare prosecutor. Stephanie has served for many years as a volunteer judge with the Truancy Diversion Program for the Courts and the Clark County School District, and she helped found TDP while she resided in Washoe County.
