Since moving to Las Vegas in 2003, Sunny worked as a Deputy Public Defender in Clark County and in civil practice before she was appointed the State of Nevada Acting Labor Commissioner. She currently serves as a Juvenile Delinquency Hearing Master in Family Court. As a Hearing Master, she utilized her training and experiences as a parent of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder to create the Detention Alternative for Autistic Youth (D.A.A.Y.) Court. It is the only diversionary court in the nation focused on providing services to youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to prevent future involvement with the criminal justice system.
