As a former City of Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge, Heidi is proud to have started the City’s first Mental Health Specialty Court diversion program. This program was developed to assist those with mental health diagnoses who had entered the criminal justice system. Medical stabilization, housing and case management oversight were key factors in the success of the program which received a national award for creative care from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in the program’s first year of operation.
